When Are Hall Tickets Released

The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations typically releases SSLC and HSC hall tickets 2 to 3 weeks before the examination date. Hall tickets are distributed to students through their respective schools. In recent years, schools can also download hall tickets from the official TNDGE portal. Students studying in government and aided schools receive their hall tickets directly from the school administration. Private candidates may need to download their hall tickets online from the official website.

Step-by-Step Download Process

Step 1 — Visit the official TNDGE website at dge.tn.gov.in. Step 2 — Click on the Hall Ticket Download link for SSLC or HSC as applicable. Step 3 — Enter your registration number and date of birth in the required fields. Step 4 — Click Submit and your hall ticket will be displayed on screen. Step 5 — Verify all details including your name, photo, exam centre, and subject codes. Step 6 — Download the hall ticket as a PDF and take two colour printouts — one for use and one as backup.

What to Check on Your Hall Ticket

Carefully verify the following details on your hall ticket — your full name as per school records, your photograph, your date of birth, your registration number, the exam centre name and code, the list of subjects you are appearing for with correct subject codes, and the exam timetable printed on the hall ticket. Any error in these details must be reported to your school immediately so they can request corrections from the TNDGE before the exam date.

What to Do If Your Hall Ticket Has Errors

If you find any errors in your hall ticket — wrong name spelling, incorrect photo, wrong exam centre, or missing subjects — inform your school principal or exam coordinator immediately. The school will raise a correction request with the TNDGE. Do not attempt to make corrections on the hall ticket yourself as this will make it invalid. In most cases, corrections can be processed within a few days if reported early enough.
